Therapy for teens and adults ready to heal and reconnect with a deeper sense of clarity, peace, and self.
You’ve been holding so much for so long.
When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to lose sight of who you are and what you need. Whether you're a teen trying to make sense of big emotions or an adult carrying the weight of too many responsibilities, therapy can offer a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect.
No wonder it’s starting to wear on you.
Hi, I’m Carissa
I work with teens and adults who are ready to understand themselves in a new way—beyond coping, beyond perfectionism, and beyond the fear of being “too much.”
Here, you don’t have to have it all figured out. Together, we’ll explore what’s been holding you back—and gently move toward clarity, confidence, and a life that feels more like your own.
The Way We Work Together Matters
Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. That’s why our work together will be tailored to your unique needs, pace, and goals.
I draw from EMDR, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), CBT, mindfulness-based strategies, and many others to help you feel more grounded, present, and connected to the life you want to live.
Individualized treatment approaches for:
-
Anxiety can show up in so many ways—racing thoughts, restlessness, overthinking, or that constant sense of being “on edge.” It might feel like your mind just won’t slow down, or that you’re always bracing for something to go wrong, even when everything seems fine on the outside.
In therapy, we’ll work together to better understand your anxiety, where it comes from, and how it’s impacting your life. You’ll learn tools to calm your nervous system, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and feel more grounded and in control—so you can start showing up in your life with more ease and confidence.
-
It’s not “just overthinking.” It’s not something you can simply stop.
OCD often brings intrusive thoughts, fears, or images that feel out of your control—followed by rituals or behaviors you feel compelled to do just to feel safe or certain. It’s exhausting, isolating, and often misunderstood.I use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), a gold-standard treatment for OCD, delivered with compassion and care. Together, we’ll help you learn to face your fears and reclaim your time, energy, and peace of mind.
-
When everything feels heavy or flat, it can be hard to find motivation—even for the things you used to care about. Depression might show up as exhaustion, irritability, disconnection, or feeling like you're just going through the motions.
In therapy, we’ll explore what your mind and body are trying to communicate—and how to gently reconnect with yourself and the world around you. With compassionate support, relief is possible, and so is rediscovering moments of energy, joy, and meaning.
-
You’ve worked hard to move on—but part of you still feels stuck.
Trauma can linger in the body and mind long after the event has passed. You might notice it through emotional numbness, irritability, flashbacks, shutdowns, or a constant sense that something’s just “off.”I use EMDR therapy to help you process these experiences in a way that feels contained and manageable. You don’t have to retell every detail—instead, we’ll use bilateral stimulation (like eye movements or tapping) to help your brain and body make new connections. Together, we’ll move gently through the memories so your nervous system can begin to release what it’s been holding and reconnect to safety, trust, and wholeness.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step,
But it doesn’t have to be complicated
